Community Reinforcement Approach and Family Training
Challenge
Lexington Recovery Center approached Partnership to End Addiction seeking our expertise in CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) techniques. The providers at Lexington Recovery Center expressed a significant need to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for effectively engaging with concerned significant others who were directly impacted by substance use.
What we did
Our organization trained 134 providers in the innovative and effective CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) techniques. This was achieved through a training program conducted over the course of three different cohorts held in July, September and October of 2022. Our training approach involved a combination of self-paced online modules and interactive live sessions, ensuring that providers received a well-rounded and adaptable education in CRAFT techniques. This initiative reflects our commitment to equipping professionals with the latest and most effective strategies to better serve our community and enhance the lives of those they support.
Outcome
Prior to this collaboration, the providers had little to no prior experience or understanding of CRAFT techniques, highlighting the need to equip them with the tools to communicate and support concerned loved ones effectively. At the conclusion of the training, 92% of trainees said they felt the training content was thorough enough to meet their needs as providers.
