We were approached by the Family Services Training Center, based in Alaska, which was looking for a training opportunity for introducing behavioral health providers to a family based approach that was less time intensive, more flexible, and more affordable than purveyor driven manualized approaches.

Relationship Oriented Recovery Services for Youth: A Comprehensive Online Course featuring Technique Descriptions, Experiential Activities and Video Modeling
Intro to RORSY provides guidance in therapeutic techniques for increasing family involvement in youth opioid use disorder treatment. This training provides an overview of the RORSY techniques supported by short video-based modeling for how to implement strategies with young adults seeking treatment for OUD.

BabySTEPs: Supporting Transitions for Expectant and Postpartum Parents – Research
The goal of the BabySTEPs research study is to develop a tailored text messaging intervention to address alcohol use in the early postpartum period. We are comparing different types of messages in terms of their acceptability to the target audience as well as their impact on motivation, self-efficacy, and alcohol use.

Family Therapy Training Series – YES CCC
In collaboration with a long time partner, YES Community Counseling Center located in Long Island, NY, we set out to develop a series of four family-based training sessions for the clinical workforce treating adolescents and young adults experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.
